OUR HISTORY
Sub 4 Development Company was started in 2015 as the real estate development branch of Green Street Realty, doing construction projects exclusively in the Champaign-Urbana, Illinois market. The goal was to build high-quality student housing, multi-family housing, and retail projects with an in-house team and not rely on an outside third-party contractor to build developments that we own. Since its inception, we have been one of the most active builders in the Champaign-Urbana, Illinois market. We have expanded our development efforts in Illinois to include single-family home developments.
In 2018, we looked at expanding out of Illinois and researched multiple markets, ending up settling on two of the fastest-growing real estate markets in the country. We now have offices in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. We have completed more than $400mil of projects in these markets and have a large development pipeline to continue this growth. In addition, we have completed projects in Downtown Lafayette, Indiana, in 2021 and Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2025.
In addition to construction management, Sub 4 Development has recently added an in-house team of licesned electricians and a crew of skilled trim carpenters to add more efficiency and control to our constructions projects.
